Sanket Atal is Director of R&D with Oracle's Fusion
Middleware Group, heading the SOA development organization
in India. Sanket has been with Oracle for 11 years and
was one of the founders of Oracle's R&D centre in
Portland, Oregon, USA. Prior to joining Oracle, Sanket
was a Database Kernel architect with Informix Corporation.
He has Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer
Science from Cornell University, Master's in Computer
Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and MBA
from University of Oregon.

Abstract
:
Rapidly
changing market conditions and increasingly competitive business
environments today are forcing organizations to find new ways
of creating value and differentiating themselves. One way
organizations can do the latter through business innovation
is by effectively handling exceptions and intimately understanding
customer needs even before they are expressed. This session
looks at technologies in the next-generation business process
management platform.
