Abstract :

We are generally aware of and appreciate the importance of the Technical Solutions provided for building an effective Automation Test Suite. However, irrespective of the quality \ method of the solution provided, there are a lot of examples where Test Automation has not finally been a success and has not achieved the necessary benefits. (Defining success here is the effective use and deployment of Test Automation solutions in the Project’s Testing needs, Success as not in ROI)

A few quoted examples:

“We eventually landed up with so much change that maintaining the Automated Test Cases \ Scripts themselves was a task at hand let alone executing them”

“By the time the Automated Test Suite became productive the Product was almost Live. Then we never used them anyway.”

Given these examples I would like to highlight and take our thoughts a step above the technical solutions to areas which would also hold the key to Effective Test Automation.
