Abstract:
MphasiS has developed a dynamic automation execution engine using silk test. This engine will take XML files as input and mimick user actions on the application under test. The Dynamic Automation Execution Engine tests the application by mimicking the regularly used features in the production environment. This unique engine helps the user organization to test the only the modules of the application which are used frequently.

The key features of this solution are:

• No recording/learning of the objects of the web page before hand
• The engine reads the data dynamically from XML
• Use of dynamic instantiation to identify objects on the web page
• XML files can be used as input to automation.
• The XML files contain the test scenario to be executed

I am project leader at MphasiS with over 7 yrs of IT experience in software testing and development, with a Master's Degree in Computer Application. I have been actively involved in process improvement, test management & testing. I specialize in automation using silk test and train most of the teams on the tool. I am a CSTP Level 1 certified professional. During my 7 yrs tenure, I have been in various roles like team lead, mentor, developer, third level customer technical support, pre-sales support. I have experience working on financial and systems domains. I have extensive experience in testing web and client server applications on windows and unix platforms.
